Broken Foot and patience being a virtue (or something like that)

According to proverbs, 'patience is a virtue.' After sat here thinking about how patient I am being, I started wondering what the phrase actually means and have decided that I must be full of virtue! Apparently a virtue is  'behaviour showing high moral standards'. If that is the case, send some wings and a halo for me and my high moral standards!

Don't wish for excitement with a broken foot.

Last week, I worried. Not for my health or anything like that. No. I was worried that I would not have anything to blog about. Then, it happened.

Broken foot, boredom, toilet seats and the Women's Institute

Well, since the perishing pins of pain came out, I would love to say it's made a huge difference. Aside from the twinging pain, nothing else has changed. I still have a non weight-bearing stupid pot on a stupid foot therefore I still can not walk. To top it all off, I am really getting bored. My recent activities would probably make me an ideal member for the Women's Institute.

Perishing pins of pain banished from the Foot of Doom

Ever had a couple of piranha fish nip at your feet? My foot has felt like it has been nibbled for the past 7 weeks with the damn pins stuck in the side of it. Today has been the day that I have been strangely looking forward to. The day that the perishing pins of pain come out.

Has my broken foot led me to an alien abduction?

Maybe I watched too many science fiction films as a child? Perhaps my daily injections and doses of hideous daytime T.V are sending me mad? Whatever it is, I have convinced myself that I have been abducted by aliens or been the victim of a cruel scientific experiment.

Activity + Broken foot = Couch Potato

I've tried .....and failed! Early on in my ordeal with the Foot of Doom, I promised myself that I would not become a couch potato. Today, I have failed miserably. Why, I hear you ask? Well, because yesterday I tried not to be a couch potato!

2012; The Year of the Foot

After over a week of not writing my blog, I decided that I need to start up again. Sitting here, wedged into my usual spot on the sofa, I am actually wondering why I have not written it. It's not like I've been up to much. For some reason people have been asking me what I have been up to. Whilst I know that they are just making conversation, what do they expect me to say? I've been winter hiking up Ingleborough and also been taking lessons on how to street dance? Ha, if only!
